Mothers and wives grieve during the memorial of their sons and husbands who passed away during the 1980 Gwangju massacre at National 5.18 Cemetary in Gwangju, South Korea, Wednesday, May 18, 2006. Over 200 students and citizens were said to be executed by the Korean military during the event which took place on May 18, 1980, now know nationally as 5.18 and remembered every year.
